Patrick is the Chief Operating Officer for TAFE NSW and is responsible for all finances, facilities, legal, audit, risk management, procurement, and continuous improvement for TAFE. TAFE NSW is the largest provider of training in the southern hemisphere with over 155 campuses, 17,000 staff and some 450,000 students.

Prior to his current role Patrick was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Resources) at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), where he was responsible for the business of the university. This included the financial strategy and long-term finance plans, the creation and delivery of the $1.5 billion Campus Master Plan, as well as the optimal financial and commercial performance of UTS in support of the university’s strategic objectives.

Prior to joining UTS Patrick spent 28 years in the private sector across many different industry types. He has held numerous chief executive officer, managing director, director and non-executive director positions in various local and international companies across North America, Asia and the Middle East. Patrick has a BSc from the University of Guelph and an MBA from McMaster University in Canada; and he is a former naval officer.
